Dear Readers,

Welcome to the 02nd issue of our eCommerce Online Magazine!

In recent years, there has been a noticeable shift in consumer behavior towards supporting local businesses and embracing the concept of localism. From buying local products to seeking out local customer support, consumers are increasingly recognizing the value of their local communities and the positive impact of supporting local businesses. In this edition of eCommerce Online Magazine, we explore the rise of localism and the reasons behind its growing popularity.

One of the key reasons why consumers are drawn to local businesses is the desire to connect with their community. Local businesses are often seen as the heart and soul of a neighborhood, providing a sense of identity, and belonging. By supporting these businesses, consumers feel a stronger connection to their community and contribute to its growth and prosperity.

To gain further insights into the rise of localism, we conducted interviews with 2 local businesses from Germany and Croatia – it is extremely interesting to shed light on their stories and experiences.

Another aspect that sets businesses apart is the personalized customer support they provide. It is becoming a big advantage; in this sense you are building personal relationships with your customers. They understand their customers’ needs and preferences and are able to offer tailored solutions and recommendations. This level of customer support creates a sense of trust and loyalty.

One of the key trends we explore in this issue is headless commerce. As consumers increasingly demand personalized and seamless shopping experiences, businesses are turning to headless commerce to meet these expectations. We delve into the concept of headless commerce and how it enables businesses to deliver dynamic and engaging experiences across multiple channels.

Another exciting development in the digital industry is voice commerce. With the rise of smart speakers and virtual assistants, voice commerce is becoming a popular way for consumers to make purchases. We explore the potential of voice commerce and how businesses can leverage this technology to enhance the customer experience.

In addition to these innovative trends, we also look at the world of social payments. As social media platforms continue to dominate our daily lives, they are also becoming a hub for financial transactions. We examine the rise of social payments and the impact they have on the way we shop and interact with businesses.

On recent regulatory developments, we shine a spotlight on two important topics: PCI DSS 4.0 and PSD3. PCI DSS 4.0 is the latest version of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, which sets the requirements for businesses that handle cardholder data. We explore the key changes in this new version and how businesses can ensure compliance. PSD3, on the other hand, refers to the third iteration of the Payment Services Directive, a set of regulations that govern payment services in the

European Union. We discuss the implications of PSD3 and how it affects businesses and consumers alike.

We hope that the articles in this issue inspire you and help you navigate the ever-changing digital landscape.

Happy reading!
