Apple Pay is no longer limited to Apple devices.

With recent updates, customers can now use Apple Pay while shopping on Windows PCs, Android devices, and in third-party browsers like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. This shift opens up entirely new use cases and it is already fully supported on the Nets Checkout platform. If you are using Nets Checkout, your checkout is now more accessible, flexible, and conversion-friendly than ever before.

What’s Changed?

Historically, Apple Pay could only be used within the Apple ecosystem, iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Safari browsers. Now, Apple Pay allows:

  • Cross-device functionality: Customers using Windows or Android can complete payments by scanning a QR code displayed during checkout with their iPhone.
  • Browser compatibility: Apple Pay is no longer tied to Safari. It now works in major browsers like Chrome and Edge, providing a smoother experience across platforms.

These updates remove friction and expand Apple Pay’s usability across a broader range of customer devices.

How to Activate Apple Pay in Nets Checkout

Getting started is straightforward:

  1. Log on to Easy administration (dibspayment.eu)
  2. On the front page, go to the navigation board and click on “Add-on”
  3. Scroll down until you see Apple Pay – and click on "enable Apple Pay"

No additional configuration is needed for QR code functionality, it’s built into the updated Nets checkout flow.

Why This Adds Value to Your Checkout

This Apple Pay expansion offers a number of advantages that benefit both merchants and shoppers:

Combined Benefits:

  • Improved conversion rates by offering a trusted, low-friction payment option across all devices and browsers.
  • Reduced cart abandonment, especially for users who would previously have abandoned checkout due to lack of Apple Pay support on non-Apple devices.
  • Broader reach to Apple Pay users shopping on Windows or Android, without requiring them to switch devices.
  • Increased customer trust and satisfaction, thanks to a familiar and secure payment experience that works consistently.
  • Minimal development effort, as Nets checkout handles the technical complexity behind the scenes.

A Better, More Inclusive Checkout — Enabled by Nets checkout

With Apple Pay now accessible across more devices and browsers, Nets checkout merchants can offer a faster, safer, and more flexible payment experience, all with minimal setup. This is a key opportunity to align your checkout with evolving consumer expectations and reduce friction where it matters most.
If you are already using Nets checkout, this functionality is ready to go. Enabling it today can help you convert more visitors into loyal customers, regardless of how or where they shop.

Previous payment solutions have given us lots of manual work. We had to log into several portals to manage transactions, and there was much fraud. With Nets Easy none of that is an issue anymore.
