Integration for automated accounting

Nets Easy Checkout eliminates friction and ensures that the shopping process is simplified. At the same time, what is needed is effective bookkeeping and accounting so that businesses with web shops can save time— and can focus on what they’re good at: their operations.

Software that makes hiring an consultant accountant unnecessary saves the company time. “The more one automates and removes manual work, the more time one can focus on and develop the business,” says Erik Lekselius, agency advisor to Björn Lundén. Together with Zwapgrid, a network of systems, Nets has built up an integration for automated accounting that can be easily connected to Nets Easy Checkout. Today, Björn Lundén is a consulting and software company that simplifies the everyday for small- and medium-sized businesses. They do this via software solutions— for example tax and accounting, and they are one of the first companies in Sweden to offer such an integration.

“One of the challenges that our customers name is that accounting for ecommerce is difficult due to: incomplete reports; missing data; multiple systems to track; sales in different countries and in different currencies; and even exchange rates that are not the same at the date of sale as at the time of accounting. It’s a lot to keep track of, and this is where we help,” says Erik Lekselius.  

The integration between Nets Easy and Björn Lundéns accounting or bookkeeping system makes it possible to automate information between the systems. As soon as a payment is sent from Nets Easy to Björn Lundén, it is recorded with the correct information to the tax authority and for accounting. The benefits are sizeable: 

  • Enables efficiency: The process is made more efficient by the fact that the framework for how calculation and distribution should take place is only specified when the integration is set up and then runs automatically.
  • Saves time: Because payments become counted and allotted automatically, saving many hours of work.
  • Eliminates human error: Reporting and accounting become correct, and the risk that mistakes can occur from manual work can be avoided.

Two different methods

The integration handles two different types of accounting methods:

1. Accounting per payment which can, for example, be used when accounting according to the invoice or cash method and for goods with a VAT rate.

2. Accounting per order which can, for example, be used for accounting after the sale and for many different national VAT rates.

“We see a pattern where accounting agencies that have automated processes (and freed up time) have started to offer complete software packages for ecommerce clients.
