Good news, everyone! After requests by many merchants, we’re thrilled to announce that American Express is now available on Nets Easy. Now it is easier to attract the kind of customers that will spend A LOT in your store.

American Express (AmEx) is one of the oldest payments services in the world and a leading issuer of personal, small business, and corporate credit cards. AmEx customers accounted for a whopping 22.9% of credit card spend in the US.

What’s in it for you? AmEx cardholders spend on average 3-4x more than Visa and Mastercard users. They might be holders of all three, but they will pick this one out of their wallet for high-value purchases in order to get rewards and cashback when shopping their favourite brands. And from now on, Nets Easy allows consumers to use their AmEx card alongside Dankort, Visa, or Mastercard.

What is AmEx all about?

On top for providing travel-related offerings like traveller’s cheques, corporate and personal travel planning services, and tour packages, American Express has left a strong footprint in the luxury market.

For instance, it has done a great job in setting up an ecosystem of high fashion clothing brands allowing consumers to get bonus points for each dollar spent. From Jimmy Choo to Hugo Boss or Bulgari, major brands are onboard, so you’re in good company joining this network.

Get started now!

Now let’s look at how American Express and the merchants will be integrated through Nets Easy checkout.

American Express has been implemented as a non-collecting Internet Payment Service Provider (iPSP). In other words, it’s the third-party biller that operates under the financial license and is used to represent many merchants. It accepts payments on behalf of merchants, so merchants sign an agreement with and receive payouts through AmEx.

As for Nets, we will only be processing the payments, not collecting the money for the merchant. Where we add value is in unifying your payouts with every single other payment solution, making your work easier so you can focus on doing what you do best – delighting your customers.
