Problem: Low transactions, high friction with current system
Parkett.no was looking for a payment solution that could increase the number of transactions and make the purchase process easier and safer for its online customers.Â
Parkett.no is a pure online shop that supplies parquet, laminate, and wooden floors to customers all over Norway. The company, which has its head office in Bergen and a warehouse in GjellerĂĄsen outside Oslo, started in 2013 and has an annual turnover of around NOK 28 million. When several of their customers told us that they experienced problems during the purchase process, the flooring supplier realized that something had to be done.
“We often received questions from customers who experienced problems with our old payment solution. There was simply too much friction in the purchase process,” says Jon-Inge Heldal, general manager of Parkett.no.
To ensure that customers could order flooring materials of the highest quality in the simplest possible way, the company wanted a customer-friendly payment solution that could accept card payments, invoices, and Vipps.

Jon-Inge says that the old payment solution was not user-friendly enough, and it did not generate enough conversions. With the Nets Easy payment solution, this is no longer a problem.
“In the payment solution we had previously, we had major problems with tracking. In addition, the user-friendliness was not good enough. With Nets Easy, we have had many more conversions, and the possibility of Vipps payment has made it easier for customers to order product samples. And for us, more samples mean increased sales. Jon-Inge goes on to say that the transition to the Nets Easy payment solution has led to a considerable increase in turnover and the number of conversions.”

Increased turnover by 21.5%– plus 28% more transactions than before
“With Nets Easy, we have increased turnover by a whopping 21.5%. In addition, we have a total of 28% more transactions than before– and 49% more transactions on mobile,” states Jon-Inge.
Customer safety and confidence in focus
Jon-Inge says that it is important to them that customers feel safe when they buy goods from them online. “The biggest advantage of Nets Easy is that Vipps is integrated into the solution. The competitor was unable to deliver this. In addition, we feel that Nets has a strong position with the Norwegian people, which helps to give the customer security at the time of purchase.”
Seamless implementation
The actual implementation of the Nets Easy payment solution in the online store went smoothly, as a result of good cooperation between Nets and Parkett.no’s online store supplier, Digitroll.
